Nicole Yee is the creative force behind NY Interiors. Perfecting form and function in design has always been her passion. Her success in this ongoing balancing act is a result of her unmatched focus on detail. Nicole's artistic eye and ability to balance scale, incorporate texture and manage color enable her to create beautiful, practical environments uniquely suited for each client. Her visual interpretations of her clients’ lifestyles are consistently livable and packed with high-end style. 

Nicole earned a Bachelor of Science degree in photojournalism from Boston University in 1992. Following that, she worked as a photographer and a window display artist until entering the world of corporate finance in 1994. Over the next ten years, as Vice President of Marketing and Electronic Commerce for two mutual fund companies (Montgomery Asset Management then AXA Rosenberg) Nicole acquired the skills necessary to see vast creative projects through from concept to completion. After a rewarding decade focused on print and electronic design, she decided to pursue further creative expression as an entrepreneur.

Leveraging the design principles and color theory that she gleaned over the course of her marketing career, she shifted her focus to interior design. In 2004, she launched NY Interiors.

Nicole applies her proven creative experience--and broad design perspective from extensive world travel--to each job. She is also professionally trained as an Interior Redesign Industry Specialist and is a member of the national organization I.R.I.S (Interior Redesign Industry Specialists).

She is also the current President of the Interior Design Society San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (http://www.idsbayarea.org/).  I.D.S. is one of the nation’s premier residential design organizations.
